Outstanding Pair of Late C19th French Mahogany Bookcases/ Display Cabinets
An outstanding pair of late 19th century French Library bookcases / display cabinets, in mahogany with ebonised columns, in the Empire taste, retaining the original glass and bronze mounts.
The canted rectangular tops each above a lozenge mounted frieze and two long glazed doors, the lower panels decorated with crossed arrows enclosing shelves flanked by turned columns on ball feet. The top of both bookcases with two hidden compartment each. The interior with five shelves each , ( two of them with a step ) Lovely colour and proportions. Please note that we can sell them individually or as a pair . This fine quality pair of bookcases will make a statement in most settings.
