Very Unusual 18th Century, Louis XVI Continental Elm Desk

A very elegant and with good proportions, circa 1780 Louis XVI desk in elm, partially ebonised with fluted front and sides.

The top with inlaid stripes decorating the front , pilaster strip with carved scales. The working surface in black leather . Spring locks.
