Superb and Fine Set of 20th Century Country House Faux Library Bookcase Panels

A wonderful and unusual set of faux bookcase panels with oak and brass doors, that will make an amazing background statement for a range of settings. Bought at the Olympia Antiques Fair about 30 years ago, by one of our clients, who had them installed in the formal dining room of their house in Barnes. Sadly the house has been sold as she is moving to smaller property and we had the opportunity to acquire them as the new owners are remodelling the house and their aesthetic couldn’t be more different. The books are mainly made of ceramic and some composite, fixed to a painted black board, with leather detailing on the shelf fronts. The frontage is of oak doors with fine brass grills and locks.
The set comprises of six panels, 322cm High x 7 cm deep and there are three double doors and three single doors. each panel can be positioned singly or as a group as they are the same measurements in height and depth. The skirting boards comes in pieces with one for each panel…..
