This striking mid-20th-century plaster sculpture captures the classical beauty of Hypnos, the ancient Greek god of sleep. Cast in durable plaster, this grand tour-style piece is a faithful rendering of the famous 1st–2nd century Roman bronze currently housed in the British Museum.

The sculpture beautifully showcases the deity’s defining mythological feature: a detailed night-hawk wing gracefully sweeping from his right temple, symbolises the quiet approach of slumber.
