Outstanding and Unusual Pair of Early C19th Spanish Figures
A wonderful pair of late 18th/ early 19th century, Spanish carved wood figures of soldiers, of great size, with fine detail. Retaining the original polychromy and glass eyes.This outstanding pair of wooden figures will make a statement in any setting.
It is very likely that this figures would be used in a Church, and dressed for processions. The bases are associated.
It is very probably that the wooden statues came from the South of Spain. Wonderful movement and great colour.
