1970s/80s French Painted Tôle Standing Lamp with Original Glass Shade

A very decorative and unusual mid to late 20th century French standing lamp, dating from the 1970s/80s, with a sculptural painted tôle frame and retaining its original glass shade.

The playful construction and painted metalwork give the lamp a distinctive character, typical of the more expressive decorative lighting produced in France during the latter part of the 20th century. The original glass shade provides a pleasing contrast to the painted tôle and gives a warm, atmospheric light when illuminated.

Recently rewired for use in the UK, while importantly retaining its original glass shade.

A fun and individual piece of French lighting with plenty of personality, particularly well suited to a modern or contemporary interior, where its sculptural form will provide an unexpected decorative accent.
