Pair of Mid-20th Century Italian Black and Gilt Painted Table Lamps

A handsome pair of Italian carved wood table lamps dating from the mid-20th century, of elegant balloon-shaped form, each lamp is richly decorated with gilt-painted swags and acanthus ornament, raised on a square pedestal base with moulded plinth. The contrasting black and gilt finish lends a refined neoclassical character, inspired by the Louis XVI style.

Recently rewired and presented with pleated white shades (included), these decorative lamps will work well in most settings.
