Early 19th Century English Regency Period Convex Girandole Mirror
An elegant and of small proportions, early 19th century English Regency period, carved giltwood and gesso circular convex girandole mirror. The cresting in the form of a winged eagle perched on a rocky plateau, holding a chain and ball in its beak, flanked by acanthus leaves, the plate within an ebonised reeded slip and moulded surround with ball ornament, having twin scroll candle branches. The convex mirror plate original.
