Mid-20th Century Rectangular Panelled Mirror
A very stylish mid-20th century rectangular wall mirror, composed of a large central mirror plate surrounded by stepped bands of mirrored panels, all set within a slender, decoratively painted moulded frame.
The frame retains its original painted finish, with attractive age-related wear and patination that gives the mirror considerable character. The alternating mirrored borders and open, architectural construction create a particularly effective sense of depth.
The mirror can be hung either portrait or landscape, making it a versatile decorative piece for an entrance hall, drawing room, bedroom or above a console.
