Fine Pair of 16th cent Wool Tapestry Borders (JUN0)

Fine pair of 16th century framed tapestry borders in wool. A similar border appears in a series of tapestries on the history of the labours of Hercules, four of them preserved in the Royal Museums of Art and History of Brussels.

One of them illustrated in : Boccara, Dario “ Les belles heures de la tapisserie” Les Clefs du temps, 1971, page 84.
