17th Century French Aubusson Tapestry

A very charming 17th century French Aubusson tapestry in wool and silk, depicting a grey heron in the shade of an old, centuries-old oak tree, surrounded by groves, facing a torrent, by the river, on a grassy and flowery bank. In the distance a fortress looms, while a stone bridge spans the river. Scalloped border, with arrangements of multicoloured flowers and acanthus leaves.Small restorations.
This elegant tapestry will make a great wall statement.
