Set of 6 French , Circa 1920s Art Deco Chairs by Parisian Designer Paul Follot

A good set of six, circa 1920s French Art Deco chairs by Parisian designer Paul Follot (1877-1942) made especially for the Paris Chamber of Commerce, then located

in The Halle Aux Bles Paris 1- now Bourse de Commerce Pinault Collection.

The suite of six chairs retaining the original gilded wood, with curved backs, the central bars carved with stylised floral motifs. The grooved front legs rest on olive-shaped glides. The rear legs form back posts. Crenellated belts punctuated with circular lozenges. The seats are upholstered in vintage fabric. Please note that we can have them upholstered at a cost.

Provenance : Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris, Halle aux blés (now Chambre de commerce -Pinault Collection), then avenue de Friedland in the 8th arrondissement, where they were placed in the Salle des fêtes designed by Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann.
