Set of Six Directoire Style French Chairs by Maison Jansen Newly Upholstered in Green Velvet

A very elegant set of six, mid 20th century Parisian, occasional / dining chairs in elm and mahogany, by the well known Parisian maker Maison Jansen.

The openwork lyre-shaped backs, decorated at the top with a diamond-shaped rosewood fillets ending in a crozier. The waistbands also decorated with a diamond-shaped rosewood fillets. They stand on four legs, the front ones sheathed and the rear ones sabre shaped. The seats reupholstered by us in a vivid green velvet.

Please note that they vary in height about a centimetre , as per pictures. Wonderful colour and proportions by the well known Maison Jansen.
