19th Century Carved and Bleached Oak Open Armchair Upholstered in Robert Kime Fabric

A good 19th century carved and bleached Oak open armchair with wide splat back, low swept arms & square supports recently reupholstered by us in Yozakura fabric, by Robert Kime.

Robert Kime Fabric ‘Yozakura’ or night cherry flower celebrates the Japanese symbolism of cherry blossoms indicating a time of renewal and the fleeting nature of life. Inspired by a fragment originating from the Edo period, this style of cotton print was traditionally used to make ‘Hakama’, a type of Japanese trouser.

This 19th century English chair will make a great desk chair.
