Early 19th Century French Empire Sofa / Bench in a Check Fabric

Early 19th century French Empire Sofa / bench in ivory and gilt re-lacquered wood, the front legs in bundles, the rear arched legs, the armrests in the shape of stylised cornucopias decorated with rosettes, water leaves, palmettes and pistils.
The sofa recently reupholstered by us in a check fabric.
Provenance: “Collection Camille BURGI”, September 28, 1993.
This furniture is similar to the production of the famous cabinetmaker Pierre-Benoît MARCION.
