Large Pair of Early C20th French Painted Duchesse Armchairs upholstered in Manuel Canovas
A wonderful pair of early 20th century French painted Duchesse armchairs in the Louis XVI taste, of elegant design and wide proportions, having recently been reupholstered by us in Seraphine fabric, by Manuel Canovas.
This romantic design is a rich blend of various antique 18th-century fragments thoughtfully arranged into a sprawling tree of life composition. A diverse range of references and large-scale repeat make combined with a pure, soft linen ground make for a captivating fabric. The design is expertly printed using twelve screens with transparent inks layered upon one another, resulting in a profoundly rich and nuanced colour palette.
Feather cushions. This elegant pair of armchairs will work very well in mos settings.
