Very stylish pair of Armchairs designed by Piet Hein Eek (Holland)

A very interesting and stylish pair of outdoor / terrace armchairs designed by the Dutch artist Piet Hein Eek. The teak slats give the geometric structure a warm, handcrafted look. Hein Eeek is interested in emphasising the natural beauty of the grain and qualities, while at the same time giving essentiality to the design.
Piet Hein Eek is a Dutch designer. He is known for designs that are highly intellectual and time-consuming for the craftsmen, despite the use of humble materials. Piet Hein Eek’s work has an ecological focus. His emphasis on the use of found materials is in the service of sustainable design. His designs often highlight the natural qualities of his materials, which gives his pieces a distinctive look. He has undertaken sustainability projects in developing countries, as well as furniture design and production projects in his native Holland. In 2018, he developed a line of furniture in collaboration with IKEA.
