Mollis Upholstery: This upholstery was a specialty of the firm William Angus & Co., a wholesale cabinet maker that operated from the late 19th century into the 20th century. The company exhibited “Mollis” upholstery at the British Industries Fair in 1922.

Marshall Spring Cushions: The Marshall spring, also known as a pocket spring, was invented by British engineer James Marshall in 1899 to provide comfort to his wife. He received a patent for the design, which consists of individual springs placed in connected fabric pockets, allowing them to move independently. This design was a significant innovation in the bedding and furniture industry. Marshall’s invention was introduced to the UK in 1901 by two of his agents who founded the Marshall

Sanitary Mattress Company in London. They later rebranded as Vispring.
