The rectangular top is similarly decorated with a central floral marquetry panel and inlaid border, while the sides are embellished with striking geometric star motifs. Retaining decorative brass ring handles and escutcheons, and raised on elegant tapering legs.

A very decorative Louis XVI commode with a wonderfully warm, mellow surface and attractive patina.
