18th Century French Serpentine Commode

A good, late 18th century French Serpentine commode, ‘Le Meuble De Port’, furniture from ‘Les Ports’ or ‘Les Bois Des Isles’ always made from exotic hardwoods from the India and South East Asia in the 18th century, and always made in the port cities of Nantes, La Rochelle and Bordeaux.

This one from mahogany and satinwood retains the original directoire bronze handles.
