19th Century French Louis Philippe Bleached Walnut Commode
A handsome 19th century French Louis Philippe commode in bleached figured burr walnut, retaining its original grey veined marble top. Dating from the mid-19th century, the commode features a clean, elegant silhouette characteristic of the Louis Philippe period, with rounded front corners and restrained mouldings.
The four generously proportioned drawers are veneered in beautifully book-matched burr walnut, creating striking symmetrical grain patterns across the façade.
Raised on shaped block feet, this is a versatile piece that would work well in most settings.
Presented in very good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with its period. The marble top and drawers are in good order and the drawers run smoothly.
