18th Century Painted & Polychromed Sicilian Desk in its Original Decoration

A very elegant and with great detail, 18th century painted and polychromed Sicilian desk, in painted wood with a red background and polychrome and gilded decoration of flowering branches. The front and sides feature white reserves painted with birds and floral bouquets in rocaille gilded stucco frames. The flap reveals two drawers, a secret and compartments painted on a white background with coats of arms, floral bouquets and foliage. Great presence and detail. This elegant bureau / desk will make a statement in most spaces .
