Early 19th Century French Directoire Plum Mahogany Desk
Flat desk in speckled mahogany veneer, opening at the waist to three drawers and resting on four sheath legs terminating in bronze sabots. The top is covered with a leather writing tablet decorated with a gilded frieze of posts and a rhombus. Directoire period
