Circa 1700 Large Spanish Carved and Gilded Wooden Altar from Seville
A superb, late 17th / early 18th century , carved and giltwood Altar retaining the original decoration. The front uprights with spiral columns entwined with vine tendrils. The frieze with volutes and flowers centered by a putto mask, The sides with two other mask, one on each side. Wear commensurate with age and use.
Original polychromy and detail on the carved faces. This large Altar will also work as a console table in large spaces.
