A circa 1940s French black lacquered and gilt twisted Iron gueridon / low table in black, partially gilded, on four legs terminating in stylised marguerites feet, with a grey veined marble attributed to Gilbert Poillerat ( 1902-1988 )

Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988) is a French decorator and master- ironmaker of French art. His work often inspired by the art of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries is the mark of French elegance. He also excels in the art of chasing medals .
