Set of Six 'Antheor' Chairs by Mathieu Mategot
A set of six wrought, painted and perforated metal garden chairs, French, Circa 1950s, by Mathieu Mategot.
Mategot is know to have exhibited alongside and collaborated with some of the foremost names in mid 20th century French design. The design for these chairs is reputedly based on the viaduct of the same name at Antheor, and their ebullient form reflects the fresh and emerging creative spirit of the post-war years.
