George Perez Martin David Gibson

‘There’s nothing wrong with mixing old and new, with combining different furniture styles, colours and patterns. Anything that is in your taste will automatically fuse to form an entire, relaxing environment. A home does not need to be planned down to the smallest detail or contrived; it should be an amalgamation of the things that its owner loves and feels at home with’

This quote by Josef Frank sums up Brownrigg’s vision perfectly. We firmly believe that the effortless combination of elements from different eras is what makes an interior special and unique.
Antiques and decorative accents have the power to infuse that sought-after character to any home, whether it is a centenary grand house or a newly built city apartment.

Our inspiration ranges from the English country home to the glamorous Italian 50’s. We are not afraid to mix, and neither should you (as Dorothy Draper used to say, ‘Decorating is fun!’)

Our store in Tetbury

For over 18 years we’ve been providing interior designers, antique dealers and private customers with the most special pieces sourced from France, Spain, England, Sweden, Denmark and beyond.

Our store is as dynamic and creative as we are: we love to change things around often and new items are added to our diverse and eclectic inventory every week.

A room should feel collected not decorated and there’s no more joy to us than helping our customers and friends to create exciting, unique and livable spaces.

Casual Elegance - We always admire Steven Gambrel’s clever use of antiques in his interiors @stevengambrel

It’s all about the details - The wall colour, the dahlias, the late 18thc. mirror, the gateleg table...It's a challenge to decide what we love the most about this entry hall designed by Carlos Sánchez-García. @carlosgarciainteriors

Timeless style - Martina Mondadori’s family home, Villa Ronche, was restored and decorated by Renzo Mongiardino fifty years ago yet it still feels so fresh and livable. Architectural Digest. Miguel Flores-Vianna photography.

The shoemaker's son always goes barefoot? well, not in this case! Brownrigg's founder George Perez Martin and his partner David Gibson, when not fully occupied running their business are mid project renovating a Georgian country house in Gloucestershire.......the perfect back drop for it being 'all about the mix!

Because every room needs one (or more) small accent tables, we can’t think of a better piece than the glamorous Martini table. We offer a specialised collection and our selection grows every month. They definitely make a chic statement in a room; use them between two chairs, in front or on the side of a sofa beside the bath... and the perennial problem of 'where to place my drink' problem is solved.

Shine bright – this Italian Chandelier will brighten up your room just with its magnificent presence.

Perfect pairing: the 19th-century Venetian folding screen with original blue glass looks wonderful next to the 19th-century French walnut gueridon.

Make a statement: this Spanish mid-20th-century table will be a show stopper in any room.

We will again have our stand at Battersea Decorative Fair (3-8 October), come by and say hello!
