Tetbury Music Festival 3-6 October 2013

The Tetbury music festival 2013 will commence on Thursday, 3rd of October and will go on till the Sunday 6th of October. It is going to be held at the beautiful St Marys’ Church which has long been the focal point of Tetbury.

The music festival begins with a brilliant ensemble by Arcangelo and Kristian Bezuidenhout and includes a recreation of the first performance of the Beethoven 4th Piano Concerto, with single strings, as well as one of Mozart’s loveliest piano concerti.

On the second day of the festival we will see one of the most exciting young string quartets, The Kelemen String Quartet, which is a prize-winning group from Hungary. This group will keep us engrossed with their extraordinarily interactive music-making and strong stage presence.

Sarah Connolly (mezzo-soprano) is accompanied by Jonathan Lemalu (baritone) and Joseph Middleton (piano) a rising force in lieder accompaniment and a local Gloucestershire boy.

The closing concert is the first of five David Thomas Memorial Concerts planned over the next five years. With these brilliant names from the world of music, this years Tetbury music festival will surely leave you completely mesmerized.
