Fine Pair of Early 19th Cent French Empire Occasional Chairs
Fine and elegant set of Early 19th century French Empire occasional chairs in ivory and gilt re-lacquered wood, the front legs in bundles, the rear arched legs, the armrests in the shape of stylised cornucopias decorated with rosettes, water leaves, palmettes and pistils.
The chairs recently reupholstered by us in two silks with a pineapple motif.
Provenance: “Collection Camille BURGI”, September 28, 1993.
This furniture is similar to the production of the famous cabinetmaker Pierre-Benoît MARCION.
The chairs are priced as pairs. Three Pairs available.
