Rare Late 19th/ Early 20th Century Carved Walnut Armchair by Joan Busquets
A rare , late 19th century carved walnut armchair by the Catalan Joan Busquets ( 1872-1949), recently reupholstered by us in Robert Kime and Tory Burch ‘Tsubaki’ fabric from the Nara collection.
‘Tsubaki’ or camellia flower is based on a fragment found by Robert during his visit to Japan. A charming floral element, outlined in black which adds a touch of grace and elegance to the fabric.
Please note the last picture where there is a pair of the same armchair with the original tapestry as well at “Casa Busquets”
